Hi friends. Mike McClain here and I run a small music production company in Garland Texas. I’ve been a musician, primarily keyboards, but have learned various instruments over the years. Been playing in bands since 1965 and engineering and producing here at McClain’s Recording since 1980. I have helped various artists along their way. LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves and even recorded a pre-recording contract demo for Trace Atkins. These are the artists whose goal was to be famous with their music. Yet they don’t represent the vast majority of folks that just want help with their songs. Helping people realize their dreams with music is so rewarding for me. Most of my clients have no idea how to create a nice arrangement with a full band. That’s where I come in. I meet with the client, listen to their song and suggest possible instrumentation and style for a professional recording.

We can always change a music part or add other elements. Music arranging is the most fun part of the job for me. And I feel like it sets me apart from most recording facilities.

I don’t remember how working with Peter Giardina started, but once it did, we seemed to really click. I think we have produced over 90 plus songs together to date. His work is more on the spiritual level yet his music draws from a myriad variety of styles. Leading people to the Faith is a big part of what we do through our music and I just love that work. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s bluegrass, country, folk, blues or rock. When Peter comes to the studio with a new tune, I get really excited because it allows me to be more creative and experimental with my studio equipment.

Peter Giardina is the most prolific songwriter that has ever come into my studio. He writes all of his own tunes and sings the lead and all the harmony parts as well.
